Dreamwidth Studios. It's an lj clone, newly into open beta. I know you've already got a journal going here, but I thought you might be intrigued by DW's guiding principles and diversity statement. It's specifically set up to be a sustainable business that does *not* resort to third-party advertising, instead generating revenue only from the services provided to the users. It's been set up by some former lj staff, and there's kind of a huge fannish drive behind it, though it's not fan-only. If you're interested, I've got spare invite codes.
Man, what a sales pitch! I swear, I'm not on a payroll. ^__~ I just remembered your frustrations with lj and thought that this sounded up your alley! Plus, hey, it would be awesome to share a blog service with you again. I think that DW is also intended to be set up for easy cross-posting between lj-code based services (either right now or planned for the future, I'm not sure).
