Once on a donkey in Tunbridge Wells

Okay, so I've just caught up on the most recent Naruto manga releases, and chapter 385 just made my brain go boom with plot bunnies. I've been planning a second sequel after Storms to Not Heaven, which was going to be long and involved and plotly, except that I was having a few difficulties with the plot (and when I saw a "few", I mean enough to stall the overall plotting process completely) and chapter 385 collided with Nocturne and ALL MY PROBLEMS ARE SOLVED.

Apart from the bit where it's no longer going to be a sequel to Not Heaven, because NH was written before I even knew Gaara was the Kazekage and this new plot idea is much more in keeping with current canon. And plus, this way I get to write the beginning of a Naruto/Gaara relationship again. Except that the plot means if it doesn't turn out Naruto/Gaara/Sasuke, I will eat my hat. And I like my hat.

So. I'm gonna be writing a really long fic that fuses Naruto and SMT: Nocturne. How d'ya like them apples?

I also have a job interview tomorrow morning and all I can think about are nekomata, demi-fiends, and the sharingan. I am screwed.

Lalala Storms. Again. Last chunk of the fic before it starts matching up with Not Heaven again. This bit really, really needs a beta so don't be surprised if it changes in the final edition.

Also, I hate London. So bad. Am now in Durham again as well. My head hurts. Rawr.

Eleven thousand, three hundred words in, and I'm still only barely halfway. Argh.

My exams are over! Wheeeeeeeeee! Actually, they were over as of 12:40 yesterday (it was supposed to be 12:30, but the exam started late). Spent . . . pretty much all day after the exam being drunk. Yeah. Hehehe. It's Aidan's beer festival tomorrow, so I shall probably spend all of tomorrow being drunk as well. XD

Anyway, have a short snippet of the next scene from Storms. Because I am not with the writing much of anything at the moment, so I figured I should share something. ^^; Previous stuff on the Not Heaven tag.

This is, as stated, the first sequel to Not Heaven. It's driving me mad. Gaara is an uncooperative little bugger, but there was a lot of stuff running through his head during Not Heaven that didn't come out during that fic. Therefore, I put it in another fic, along with backstory explanation of why he was thinking that, and how the Not Heaven universe is different from the current Naruto canon.

This is the first bit of what's meant to be a oneshot. I'm working on the rest. :)

Spoilers for almost every major event all the way up to the current manga chapter (246), which is waaaaaaay beyond where the anime is currently at. Takes place at some vaguely indeterminate future date when they're all growed up. No smut, because they weren't being cooperative.
